Barry McGraw
Founder and Chief Lab Officer Barry McGraw brings a background in plastics engineering and 14 years of experience at Battelle, specializing in guiding new materials from concept to commercialization. Experienced in managing client relationships, aligning technical development with market needs, and overseeing experimental progress to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

CTO & Lead Chemist
Dylan Karis
Dylan is the Lead Chemist and CTO with a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Washington. He specializes in synthetic organic polymer synthesis and characterization, including anionic ring-opening polymerization as a controlled living polymerization technique. Dylan is experienced in developing and formulating advanced materials such as acrylics, urethanes, thiols, and click chemistry-based polymers.

Carla DeBoard
Carla DeBoard joined the Ohio Soybean Council and Ohio Soybean Association as the Accounting Associate in 2002. Carla manages OSC’s web-based project management system, the national soybean checkoff program for Ohio and all financial budgeting and transactions. She was previously employed with the Ohio Farm Bureau as the staff Accountant. Carla has over 20 years of experience in the accounting field and received a B.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A. from Franklin University.

Robert Cain
Rob is a Senior Materials Scientist with extensive industry experience spanning the entire technology readiness lifecycle, from R&D to commercial application. Specialized expertise in leveraging structure-property relationships to design, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced materials, including polymers, composites, and functional systems. From developing downwell oilfield drilling chemicals to synthesizing aerospace adhesives. Proven track record in translating material insights into high-impact applications, developing multiple platform technologies, and contributing to over two dozen patent applications.

Alex Shand
Alex is an Innovation Engineer specializing in polymer synthesis and characterization, applying chemical engineering principles to develop, test, and refine advanced materials. He has extensive experience optimizing and formulating complex polymer systems, evaluating performance, and translating lab-scale innovations into practical solutions. Skilled in data-driven experimentation and cross-functional problem-solving, Alex supports the full product development cycle from concept to implementation.

Olivia Susi
Olivia has a background in chemistry with a medical focus, specializing in formulation development and material testing. Her work centers on designing, optimizing, and evaluating formulations for performance and reliability, supporting both experimental development and real-world application. She brings a detail-oriented approach to translating material concepts into consistent, testable products.
